How JobHunter verifies vacancy data

The public catalogue is a monitoring snapshot, not an employer statement. Every result should ultimately be checked at the linked employer or ATS source before applying.

Source selection

Official applicant tracking systems and company career pages are preferred. Aggregator sources are retained only as explicit fallbacks when an official machine-readable source is unavailable.

Source status and parser health are monitored separately from vacancy content so unavailable or uncertain sources can be identified instead of silently treated as current.

Freshness

verifiedAt records when JobHunter last observed or synchronized a posting. postedAt is used when the employer provides it, but it can be missing or inconsistent between ATS providers.

The public pages display the timestamp of the underlying snapshot. A stale timestamp is shown as-is instead of being presented as fresh data.

Deduplication and closing

Stable identifiers, employer identity, ATS identifiers, and normalized vacancy attributes are used to reduce duplicate records.

A vacancy can disappear, move, or be closed between scans. The official application page remains the authoritative availability check.

Limitations

Remote, country, role, and technology labels are normalized signals and should not be interpreted as guarantees about eligibility, visa support, salary, or hiring intent.

JobHunter does not invent missing salary, benefits, seniority, visa, or interview information.
